A walk along the Union Canal to Spylaw Park in Colinton. A stroll around the cemetery at Colinton Parish Church and lunch in the Spylaw Tavern.

Kerrera is a small island in Oban Bay with a great wee marina where I often stay during summer trips to the West Coast

A sailing trip to Campbeltown in June 2024 with my nephew Gordon. This is the third time we have done this.

The annual trip to La Perdrix in ST Martin de Riberac. This year I travelled with good friend George.I stopped off in Chelmsord to stay with him on the journey there before heading for the tunnel. We had superb accomodation booked at Sougé-le-Ganelon, a little SW of
Alençon and on the way back a very quirky place at a riding school in Saint-Aubin-de-Locquenay.

Our annual trip to Northern Ireland. Alan, Hamish and me.

The Union Canal runs from Tollcross in the centre of Edinburgh to Falkirk where it meets the Falkirtk Wheel joining it to the Forth and Clyde Canal. One of my favourite places to walk along.

My annual trip to La Perdrix in the Dordogne. Stopped off at Maidstone on the way, in a terrible AirBnB then took the tunnel and stopped off in a lovely AirBnB close to Saint Jean de - la motte. Stayed in a Shepherd' Hut on the way back to the tunnel. Stopped off to see Sue and Chris in Cobham.

Walk along Cycle Route 1 to Cramond. The route skirts Drylaw close to West Pilton and Muirhouse, some of the most deprived areas in Edinburgh - Trainspotting country - where it's been said that the weekly budget often does not exceed the green fees for a round at nearby Silverknowes or Barnton.
