The first year a group of us travelled to La Perdrix as "Not a Guitar Retreat, retreat". I took the ferry for a change and met up with George and Jim at the Plage d'Aubeterre Campsite before heading for La Perdrix. During our stay we went to a great flea market at Verteillac - where I picked up a fantastic whisky hip-flask, Chris performed a set in the square and we played at Mets Vin in Riberac.

Blackford, one of Edinburgh's seven hills.

The Colinton Tunnel was completed in 1874 as part of the construction of the Balerno Branch Line, running from Slateford to Balerno and connecting Balerno and all of the villages and mills along the line directly to Edinburgh’s Princes Street Station. Now a cycle path and walkway. The tunnel has a 140m long mural depicting RL Stevenson's poem - ‘From a Railway Carriage’.

In October 2019 I hired a Camper Van and toured around The Lake District's beautiful countryside. Had a great day out on the Ravenglass & Eskdale Steam Railway.

A walk through Morningside, Braidburn and a climb up Blackford Hill and on to the Southside and John Leslie Pub.

Towards the end of summer of 2018 on sailing trip, I spent some time on Kerrera waiting for a change of crew and heading back to Largs through the Crinan Canal. At that time CalMac did a tour from Oban to Iona which included all transport by ferry and bus so I packed my ruck sac and set off for the ferry.
